Native 03:16
Back to the river, the river where we met in that, your empty winter city. Where I recognized the sound of a word. There was no confusion. And I closed the door of the motel aisle. I walked alone the melted ice, bought a six hundred page book and I wrote “I love you” twice. Two blocks later, an ancient looked at me right in the eye, made a toast with a tree and yelled from his wheelchair: “Keep going, get hurt”.
2.
Name A Name 04:29
He was scared to death. Couldn’t find any answers swimming every afternoon, as usual... Waking up early, trying to find the cure. Not talking about kinds of bones, about dates of birth, about names of names. Somewhere in between. Spending more time with his son wasn’t helping at all. Days were unstoppable trades and guns weren’t hiding anymore.
3.
A God on Earth must be treated like a God on Earth. Have mercy: this bed we lay on could turn as red as your dress. Eyes like tears, little blue crabs escaped from the largest beach I’ve ever seen... They got here to witness how these two bodies match perfectly. Never reached that amount of nightmares in a form of beginning. There’s a flowered shirt, a way out and a couple of long drinks.
4.
Regiment 03:26
You’ve been pleasantly seated such a long time, considering the option of escaping, going elsewhere heading North. Crawling over a method of stand glorious, next but remote, facing each single miserable fact or moment of mystery, an always-joyful purpose or matter of action to put yourself together. You’ve been claiming: “truth is next”. You’ve been saying: “truth is worthless”.
5.
He reckoned how the poor young boy felt the appearance of the penguins: dancing between seats like a well-known thriven monarch, also dressing as his twin dumb brother always does... The interludes were grotesque. Do you intend to argue this decade of pressure? Do what you like: buy yourself a new life. We can guess now there was no intention on disturbing the whole crew repeating ten times a phrase every ten times a second.“HOO-LOO-LOO-LOO-HAY”. Right after that, we listened such a familiar voice in the brewery; we passed by the east coast NPP, which always looks astonishing at that time of the night.

This is how I contrive my only lung left: as you’d wish to do, I need to get back to her. I wanna be awake before sunrise. These medicines are maybe too strong. Her best ideas came from all the beds she tried alone clicking her computer. Once, soon in the afternoon, she kneeled down on mine and kissed my ear, saying: “A single crippled man trusts you very deep”.
7.
As A Trap 03:35
I am gonna risk the value of every single chance. Decent needs on time, part silence, part judgment. I am gonna face ten people in a white hall, praying for maintain the differences in a short conversation. He stands up and draws a few steps across the living room. Then, he looks forward and she’s gone again.
8.
Howled By 05:04
Don’t blame the full moon now, big changes must succeed. Try not to visit those old bars and if you can’t, please do your best on hanging on your type on a new smile. You’ll be a different person for now on. Please welcome the mystery. Well, I’ve been purified by kindness. Well, I could also die soon enough. But now... Do I really love your clumsiness? Maybe I will not believe you... I won’t believe you. And I fell off the stage and I didn’t ask and you became someone else... Like me.

Keywords Or 03:37
She’s singing to her hair. There is a dolphin stuck at the door. Children are playing with it, feeding him instead of riding it. Their plates are full of coins. She feels sick, the last embrace was too hard to handle. Now she’s thinking she could stop helping each other healing them with sweetened cures. “Where’s the rice”, she says. And he answers “there’s no pressure at all”. Only one little girl left by the dolphin: they’re gone. Memories are stunningly different.

A 30 years old child draws a king without head. He needs an extension of himself. Tenth Fire: Shall he surrender now? This is when he forgets his vows. He was the soldier who never shot. Suffers for wisdom. Suffers for beauty. Routine as his nicotine. Only some nightmares left. Improves his “wake up, Girl”, her “you’re the best player”. He would love to kiss the truth as she would love to kiss the truth.

With 04:01
And she came back before I expected... We got rid the idea of how we should be loved. Her chest was burning. We met on a train to get here. How could it be right if we’re looking to the raindrops crawling into this summer sea? The light storm will be watched from your warm towel. Half naked. Black long (short) hair. Smiley eyes. How many words you’ve stolen from me? I’ve spent years of wondering. How we could possibly know we were looking for that word that worth a million or more?

What will be? Life is such a such. No need to say anymore. We all know they are guilty. And their grandsons do the same. So why don’t we talk about politics then and we fight against them all again?

about

Prefer
verb [ T ] uk /prɪˈfɜːr/ us /prɪˈfɝː/ -rr- prefer verb [ T ] (CHOOSE)
To like, choose, or want one thing rather than another.

We Prefer To references the legendary motto “I would prefer not to”, stated by Bartleby in Herman Melville’s famous story Bartleby the Scrivener: A Story of Wall Street. This title encapsulates a whole post-modern era of passive resistance. We Prefer To stands for direct action. We Prefer To calls for collective participation. We Prefer To resists encroachment and fight for spaces of freedom, artistic and otherwise. We Prefer To encapsulates Seward, a band evolving day after day upon a free and collaborative spirit, strong from its origins.

The album have been released on a special edition, containing a a bag of tea created by the group, a box of matches and a deck of black poker cards. We Prefer To has been produced by Scott Solter (St. Vincent, Two Gallants, Dirty Projectors…) and Matt Pence (Midlake, John Grant…), recorded at The Echo Lab in Denton, Texas, and mastered by Carlos Freitas (Sepultura, Omara Portuondo, Caetano Veloso...) at Classic Mastering in São Paulo, Brazil.

Seward joined forces with Gandula (Za!, Big OK…) and Foehn (Oso Leone, Balago…) in Spain, Moorworks in Japan (Howe Gelb, Xiu Xiu...) to release #WePreferTo.

"People write manifestos proclaiming themselves as alternative visionaries, but achieve nothing close to the unpredictable, eccentrically cohesive whole that Seward whip up, which contains as much for the informed insider as it does the engrossed newbie", Sam Briggs, Line Of Best Fit.
