1.
Let's jump in here. Is it the void you were chatting about? I want a spare room with as many doors as possible, oscillating, far enough, and two beds driven backwards in some kind of grey background, atmospheric changes will decide in our place. The question was what to learn.
2.
Insomnia 03:13
Wishing a good year to all of them. Raising up your arms, holding a pen. Writing with no time, you try to reach her. Only leave a smile rescued from silence. "Sun remained silent" We can’t fall asleep marking the notebooks, chasing up their prints, remembering flavours. Shall we leave this bed in a few seconds? Should we share that train? Don’t forget your records. "Sun remained silent" Standing on the top of a tiny box. You are coming back from the air, shining on a laugh.
3.
He dreamt with his mother. She was angry at the time. Standing next to her bed. She just left watching people acting behind their mirrors. If I could say what hurts, I would write what I saw today: our only daughter. Your vital need, a constant loneliness. That's what I love best. Old men trusting you deep. All about fascination.
4.
And the children asked: "why your voice change when you talk with him? Why does he want to die?" And his voice changed, completely changed when he talked to me 10 years later. "You will sing for five minutes with the record player". It was dark, so dark, but smelled like blood over yellow. In this particular dream, you will sing for five minutes with the record player, you will sing with five record players.
5.
Presents 06:30
You’re heading to that beach again, waving forms of decisions. A couple of shoes are locking your door. Any clock works. This promise won't save you, dear. The past looks amazing. Figure the way I could just get there the way you just said. Having breakfast will not find you well. You named a book, and it’s just getting us mad. He died at the age of 50. The breeze is a blessing.
6.
3506 02:59
Per-for-ming for Hyde Park neighbors. Rush of perception, as a question this time: who’s the one who wanted to come by to listen? Were the parents or the unborn?  Back where The Great Escape is coming! Russell Square trees are blazing. I guide myself into memories. Who's the one who wanted to come by to listen? It wasn't me. This train is all the trains.
7.
Pichiflork 02:18
Walking your bike through the rain. It screams while you’re smoking underneath. No one leaves a word, no one gives a look. Like in a silly pop song. Steps approach themselves alone. Don't you know that my devotion has grown cold, that my emotion has got old...? But my name’s been written bold. If I improve my accent, no. If I improve my language, no... Like in a silly pop song. Steps and lips approach themselves alone.
8.
Machinatra 05:14
I took my pills off once again the day of her birth. How will be her smile? Colored buildings in the stars. I told you: "Stand on the righteous place!". Sweet, sweet little friend of mine: Be a part of this, be afraid of this. And from all, all the stupid things I sing like “Sweet, sweet little friend of mine: Be afraid of this”. I've seen you reflected on these fountains of London, back when I was just two years old. Dressed in a blue winter coat. Playing with the sun. And I’ve been waiting for too long to reach the parts of the ocean where you hide, to reach the parts of the ocean where you hide.
9.
Where are my morning lights? Well, we’re gonna keep playing.

about

"Home Was A Chapter Twenty Six" consists of eighteen songs in total. In true Seward style, this work will not be distributed together on one album but will be broken up into several singles, video singles, appearing exclusively on specifically chosen blogs and websites; and a self-released 12” vinyl containing five of the eighteen titles. Seward’s intention remains palpable: This album is a big collaboration between artists, journalists and creators the band itself defends: A real network, a complete “face to face” experience.

Seward were voted Best New Band 2012 in UK by the influential UK blog ‘A New Band A Day’ and at the end of 2013 two leading Spanish music blogs, Indiespot and Blisstopic, voted Seward as one of the Top 10 live performances of the year in Spain alongside such names as Nick Cave, The National and David Byrne. They performed at the Paradiso, Amsterdam and the Dutch festival Eurosonic Noorderslag, where many festival programmers recognized them as a unique intense band the like of which they had not seen in many, many years. Seward are no strangers to the festival circuit having played many shows including SXSW (USA), Canadian Music Week, Primavera Sound (ES), BAM Festival (ES), The Great Escape (UK), Vive Latino (Mexico), BIME Festival (ES), and following their shows at Eurosonic they have already been booked by some major European festivals including Sziget (Hungary), Pohoda (Slovakia), and Exit (Serbia).

Sticking to its principles, Seward recorded all songs for "Home Was A Chapter Twenty Six" live in one take at their studio and at various video sessions, as if they were performing for an audience. Seward has been compared to many groups including King Crimson, The Fall, Death Grips and Captain Beefheart. The truth is that to describe them is not easy. Like the famous owner of their name, William Seward Burroughs, they are a class of their own, away from rules. Even if they drink from the traditions of folk, blues, jazz and rock… Seward offers new, free, unclassifiable, mutant, surprising and always intense compositions.

Seward wants to be somewhere else. They want to be close to their audience, redefining together what art is today. They might be naive, pretentious and too arty for many people. But in a time when irony is the standard, when taking things seriously is the biggest sin, is there anything more provocative than Seward?
